Why Selena Gomez Once Brought A Chick-Fil-A Sandwich On A Red Carpet
If you look past some of the glitz and glamour that comes with stardom, you might come to find that you have more in common with the big names of Hollywood than you think. For starters, they're human, which means they have to eat to survive. And secondly, they crave fast food just as much as you do. Adele, the hit song maker responsible for 2015's "Hello," revealed to British Vogue that if she were on death row, her final meal would be "a McChicken Nugget with a Big Mac and then fries" (via YouTube). Further expressing her love for the eatery, she said she ate at the Golden Arches at least once a week.
Fashion model Chrissy Teigen is a fan of fast food in general. Via Twitter, Teigen once responded to a fan asking if she prefers waffle fries or steak fries. "I like Carl's Jr. waffle fries and Red Robin steak fries (both with ranch). For curly I like Jack In The Box," she wrote. Taylor Swift, on the other hand, can't resist a daily stop at Starbucks, but due to her efforts to skip sugary drinks, she orders a skinny vanilla latte, per WebMD.
Former Disney Channel star Selena Gomez once showed up on a red carpet with food (almost) in hand, and honestly, the whole story is quite relatable.
She was eating the food with One Direction
Celebrities tend to have packed schedules, which sometimes means eating whenever they get the chance. This seemed to be the case for "Same Old Love" singer Selena Gomez when she was merely 23. On Sunday, December 6, 2015, Gomez geared up for the Los Angeles KIIS FM Jingle Ball with an early appearance on the red carpet (via Us Weekly). Fans speedily noticed Gomez's handler in the background with a half-eaten sandwich in hand as the singer struck poses for the cameras. After curiosity ensued about the type of burger, an insider said that it was a chicken sandwich. "The [One Direction] guys were feasting on Chick-fil-A in their dressing room. Selena joined them and was scarfing down a Chick-fil-A sandwich on her way to the stage."
Three nights after the hilarious show of Chick-fil-A affection, the restaurant spoke about the occurrence in a tweet. "A Chicken Sandwich is the best red carpet accessory yet! We hope you enjoyed it!" they wrote. It seems like she did, as just one month later, Selena Gomez was spotted at New York's LaGuardia airport with a large bag of Chick-fil-A (per Daily Mail).
