Antoni Porowski's Favorite Holiday Cookies Are A Tan France Original
If your favorite part of the holiday season is baking cookies to share with your loved ones, there's no shortage of new recipes you can try. We've rounded up the best cookie recipes as well as some of the best holiday cookies from around the world. Wondering what cookies celebrities in the food industry like to enjoy? Duff Goldman's holiday cookies include some offbeat spices, like ground mustard and white pepper. But if you don't like mustard, turn to Antoni Porowski's favorite holiday cookies; the recipe comes from his "Queer Eye" co-star Tan France.
Porowski shared the recipe for Ginger-Cardamom Cowboy Cookies, and Porowski told Delish that France brought these cookies to dinner while filming "Queer Eye" in Kansas City. These cookies are like a crossover of a few types of cookies and include candied ginger, old-fashioned oats, shredded coconut, and chocolate chips. If you like spiced cookies, chocolate chip cookies, and oatmeal cookies, you can put all the flavors together into one treat.
Here's why Porowski loves France's holiday cookies
Though these cookies certainly sound delicious, the taste isn't the only reason that Porowski loves these cookies. In his interview with Delish, Porowski shared more about why he loved France's Ginger-Cardamom Cowboy Cookies, saying, "It's that perfect bite that just reminds me of my friendship with him," he says. "I know that's cheesy, but I'm very sentimental when it comes to food."
Nostalgia and traditions with family and friends are part of what makes the holiday season special, and Porowski's favorite holiday cookie just shows the strong bond between the members of the Fab Five.
Although Porowski is the food and wine expert on "Queer Eye," he isn't the only star of the show who knows his way around the kitchen. Porowski told Thrillist that France is a great baker. Plus, according to Radio Times, France also won star baker when he competed in "The Great Celebrity Bake Off," a special "Great British Bake Off" series that supported Stand Up to Cancer.
Wondering what other food advice the Fab Five has to offer? The chocolate croissants are the Trader Joe's pastry that France and Porowski swear by, and Porowski thinks the one recipe everyone should know from his cookbook is a kale salad.
