Vegan Mango Smoothie Recipe
We hope that whoever invented smoothies has been given a large sum of money, and is enjoying life on a beach somewhere. How could we live without these delicious and frozen fruity drinks? This vegan mango smoothie recipe, brought to us by wellness coach Miriam Hahn, is so sweet and creamy, we know you will love it. "Mango is one of my favorite fruits, and this simple combination is over-the-top amazing," Hahn remarks.
"Many people shy away from buying fresh mango because of that darn center pit," Hahn says. "Frozen mango is a game changer in this smoothie. It's a time saver because it is already cubed, and it's frozen so it is a good substitute for ice, which can water your smoothie down." Hahn goes on to say that "fresh mango can be hard to find year-round, so frozen mango allows you to stock up."

Gather your ingredients for the vegan mango smoothie
To make this delicious smoothie, you only need 5 ingredients: banana, oat milk, frozen mango, orange juice, and lime juice. You can optionally garnish the smoothie with fresh mint and a lime wheel. "The banana will give [it] lots of creaminess," Hahn shares, "and it is a staple ingredient in all of my smoothies." If you don't have oat milk on hand, you can easily swap it out for any other plant-based milks, like soy milk, flax milk, and almond milk. The smoothie is plenty sweet, so the unsweetened versions are recommended.
Blend the ingredients
Now comes the easy part — the blending. Cut the banana into slices; if you are using a frozen banana, give it a couple of minutes to thaw beforehand. Pour the milk and orange juice into the blender, then add the sliced banana, frozen mango, and lime juice. If you are feeling extra fancy, zest the lime first, and add that to the mix for extra tang. Blend on high until smooth and creamy.
Garnish and serve the smoothie
Grab a couple of glasses, and pour in your delicious smoothie. Optionally garnish each glass with fresh mint and a lime wheel to perfectly complement this creamy drink. You can drink this with your breakfast, as a pre-exercise energizer, or as a snack at any time of day. This smoothie is best consumed right after you make it, so drink up.
