The DIY In-N-Out Fries Employees Don't Want You To Order
In-N-Out Burger is one of the most iconic fast food burger chains in America. The restaurant is known for its delicious burgers and fries, as well as its secret menu — which, according to In-N-Out itself, isn't quite so secret. While the menu is not officially endorsed by In-N-Out on its regular menu, it has become widely known and popular among fans of the chain.
No visit to the restaurant is complete without ordering a side of their delicious In-N-Out hand-cut fries. From regular style and well-done fries to cheese fries and animal style, there's a fry option for everyone. Ask nicely, and you might even be able to get chopped-up chiles added to your fry order, similar to the way they can add the spicy, yellow peppers to your burger upon request.
However, there's one particular fry style that employees of In-N-Out don't want you to order: "road kill" style fries (via Reddit).
(Dead) Animal Style
Reddit user robo_avo_2point0 posted a photo of what they call "Road Kill Style" fries mixed in with a chopped-up burger patty, cheese, onions, and In-N-Out's spread. Another photo showed the addition of ketchup and pickles to the mound. Although the blend of delicious In-N-Out food probably tastes pretty good, it's not exactly the most appetizing-looking dish. Its unofficial name doesn't do it any favors, either.
Employees of the restaurant said that this is one order they don't want to make and it's likely that even if you do order it, you'll probably be disappointed — one user noted in the comments, "For those uninformed, this is a fan-made item and not a real item that is a part of our menu. Please don't try ordering it as we can't make it for you."
"Plz don't post photos like this or people are going to try and order it," wrote another, followed up by another replying, "And then get [mad] when it turns out the item doesn't exist." While some people thought the creation looked like it could be good, the general consensus was that it's pretty gross-looking. "Ok this looks delicious.... AND absolutely disgusting at the same time," wrote one commenter.
If you're looking to try something new and different from In-N-Out's Not So Secret menu, there are plenty of options to choose from. Just don't expect to be able to order anything "road kill style" — unless you're willing to make the DIY In-N-Out creations yourself.
