Reddit Has A Serious Complaint About Chick-Fil-A's Chicken Sandwiches
Love it or hate it, Chick-fil-A has some of the best-tasting chicken on the fast food market right now. In fact, it's among the largest restaurant chains in the United States, totaling almost $13 billion in sales (via Query Sprout). The restaurant closes its doors to customers on Sundays giving employees an opportunity to rest and due to the company's religious beliefs (via Chick-fil-A). But the restaurant still ranks as a top fast-food chain, outperforming Subway and leading to its decline in market share, according to Query Sprout.
Fans of the chain usually can't get enough of its classic chicken sandwich, crispy nuggets, or that famous Chick-fil-A sauce. For the more adventurous, there's a hamburger or Fish-fil-A, or the secret menu. It's hard to go wrong no matter what you order at Chick-fil-A. Or is it? Customers on Reddit have recently complained about one of the restaurant chain's most popular items, the grilled chicken sandwich. Here's what has the Chick-fil-A faithful riled up.
Are the grilled chicken breasts too small?
A Reddit thread has strong opinions about the size of Chick-fil-A's grilled chicken breasts. Several users believe the chicken breasts are too small. The Redditor who created the post wrote, "I get the grilled chicken sandwich a lot because it tastes good, but over half the time I get it, the breast is just sad. Like, isn't the meat supposed to overlap the bun, or is that a thing of the past/just in promotion pictures." This sparked a full-blown conversation and a number of opinionated comments on the quality of the grilled chicken breasts.
One commenter explained that although "small," most of the grilled chicken breasts meet the requirements of touching three points on the bun. The Redditor wrote, "That's a normal size one, touches 3 points." While that may be true, other Reddit users weren't satisfied with the rule. "The 'touches 3 points' has got to be the absolute dumbest 'rule' ever. Completely ignores thickness/volume/weight. You could slap a couple of thin strips on a bun and it meets the 3 points rule," one commenter wrote.
While there's always room for criticism and improvement, the thread has since been locked by the moderators of r/ChickFilA due to inappropriate comments.
