Every FaZe Menu Item Ranked Worst To Best
When you really dive into the world of competitive gaming, you immediately realize that those people who spend countless hours leveling up their characters and progressing through massive virtual worlds take things very seriously. These aren't the kind of gamers who fire up their consoles just to have fun; they aim to conquer everyone who stands in their way. But no one can best an opponent without a body and mind full of energy. With that in mind, a YouTuber who goes by FaZe Rug stepped in to ensure every gamer on the path to glory is provided with energy in the form of deliciously unique sandwiches.
FaZe Subs was created by a group called FaZe Clan, the world's leading professional gaming and esports organization. The goal was simple: Create awesome sandwiches to fuel a generation of gamers. The organization teamed up with celebrity chef Eric Greenspan and launched a lineup of flavor-packed subs (plus desserts), available exclusively on DoorDash to get gamers stoked for their next round of virtual action. Of course, some of the sandwiches are sure to lead you to victory, and others might just lead you down a spiraling path of defeat and disappointment. So, get your game face on — these are the FaZe Subs menu items ranked worst to first.
11. Timmy
The menu at FaZe Subs can get pretty wild, but if that's not the route you're trying to take your appetite, FaZe does offer items that aren't packed with a ton of ingredients. Simplicity is the name of the game with a few of the options, which is a good thing because not everyone is a super adventurous eater. The most basic sandwich you can order at FaZe Subs is called Timmy. And honestly, it's kind of a bummer.
The Timmy comes with smoked ham, cheddar cheese, shredded lettuce, and FaZe sauce (basically a creamy chipotle sauce) on a white roll. As much as you might want this to taste like an amazing ham and cheese sandwich, there are definite issues that prevent it from being a truly a enjoyable option. First, there just isn't enough ham or cheese on the sandwich. You get way more bread in every bite than meat and cheese, which is extremely disappointing. The amount of chipotle sauce is also an issue. A condiment should add a creaminess to everything, but there's so little of it that nothing gets the moisture it needs to make for a satisfying meal. We say shimmy away from Timmy.
10. Tilted Turkey
No matter what kind of fillings and fixings you have on a sandwich, the last thing you want is for any of it to feel dry on your palate. It's an immediate turnoff having to wash every bite down with a gulp of water. Of course, a sandwich shouldn't be overrun with condiments either, but it shouldn't feel depleted of moisture completely. Well, that's exactly the problem with the Tilted Turkey sandwich at FaZe Subs.
The Tilted Turkey comes with smoked turkey, provolone cheese, shredded lettuce, and FaZe's signature sauce on a white roll. This would definitely be a pretty solid sandwich choice if it wasn't for the fact the turkey is bone dry. Similar to the Timmy sandwich, every bite of the Tilted Turkey has you grabbing for a swig of liquid just to help it move down your throat with ease. You'd hope the provolone cheese and sauce would offer some kind of relief. But alas, they don't, and you're left with nothing but regret.
9. Grillcams
Chicken is a great option when you need some protein but aren't feeling particularly adventurous with your appetite. You know exactly what to expect when you order chicken. So if you feel like getting your cluck on with a simple sandwich that doesn't throw any curveball ingredients your way, the Grillcams might seem like the choice to go with. However, while the Grillcams is a simple chicken sandwich, it might also let you down.
The sandwich comes with chunks of grilled chicken, provolone cheese, shredded lettuce, and FaZe's chipotle sauce on a white roll. One positive aspect of the sandwich is that it has a lot of chicken, so you don't feel like you were cheated out of protein. But the negative side of that same ingredient is that you wish it was much juicer. The chicken is seasoned okay, but it still makes for fairly dry bites that struggle even with the addition of the sauce. However, of the three simplest sandwiches that FaZe Subs offers, this one tops the list.
8. Incendiary
When your to-do list includes spending hours in front of a screen merking noobs (that's a gaming phrase), a delicious sandwich will do the job filling you up, but it's a hefty amount of sugar that'll keep you laser focused for a while (via WebMD). FaZe Subs offers two different desserts, and one of them is called the Incendiary. It may sound pretty intimidating when you hear the name. However, you expect a little more punch of flavor from something with such an aggressive name — and that's what you'll get with this treat.
The idea behind the dessert is pretty awesome. It's a fudge brownie with nuts drizzled in chocolate sauce and topped with crunchy Flamin' Hot Cheetos. Sounds pretty cool, right? The issue here is that the brownie is so rich and chocolaty that the kick of heat from the Cheetos is basically nonexistent, even though they're supposed to be what make this dessert unique. The brownie itself is tasty, but unfortunately the addition of the Cheetos is just a flavor tease that never pays off.
7. Frag
If you're looking to kill that appetite of yours with a sugar-laden treat, then FaZe Subs offers customers the chance to do so with a dessert named the Frag. In times of war, a frag is a hand grenade, but it's also synonymous with the word kill. So the name of this dessert basically implies you'll be putting an immediate end to the angry menace in your stomach imploring you to nourish it right away or face the consequences. And seeing as FaZe Subs only has two dessert options, this is the better one to go with.
The Frag is also a fudge brownie with nuts, but this one is drizzled in caramel sauce and topped with a pile of Ruffles potato chips. The brownie is thick and rich, and coats your mouth with an intense chocolate flavor. The caramel sauce is warm and flavorful, but it's the Ruffles that take this dessert to an awesome place. The saltiness of the chips plays great against the sweetness of the other ingredients. It's a sweet-and-salty punch that rounds out a meal really well if dessert is your thing.
6. Cheeser
Even though specialty sandwiches can seem super enticing, sometimes it's nice to have the option to build your own meal using ingredients and sauces you choose yourself. That way you can tailor it exactly the way you want so it hits the spot as hard as possible. At FaZe Subs, customers have the option to construct their own sandwich from a few different ingredients and a choice of sauce. The customization options aren't vast, but if you're looking to have things your way, the Cheeser is where you should venture.
The base of the Cheeser is a white roll with melted cheddar and provolone cheese. Then, there are three different ingredients you have the option to add: guacamole, bacon, or red onion. Finally, customers choose a dipping sauce. The choices are either tomato sauce, FaZe's signature chipotle sauce, ranch, honey mustard, or buffalo sauce. While a fully stacked sandwich with all the added ingredients is tasty, you may end up wishing there was a bigger variety of options to truly make this an epic meal.
5. The Rugfather
Obviously the main man behind FaZe Subs, FaZe Rug, is going to have his signature sandwich on the menu. He needs to perform that culinary flex for all those watching, of course. Well, FaZe Rug thought long and hard about the kind of epic sandwich he wanted to offer fellow gamers (and anyone else with an appetite for delicious food) and he created a sandwich known as the Rugfather. Unfortunately, even though it's the signature sandwich, it simply doesn't live up to such an epic name.
The Rugfather has quite the long list of ingredients that are stuffed into a white roll. You get smoked turkey, provolone, shredded lettuce, sliced red onion, bread and butter pickles, pepperoncini, guacamole, FaZe sauce, and Funyuns to finish it off. Everything here would work together really well if the guacamole didn't pull up to the party and ruin it all. When paired with the right food guac is amazing. Unfortunately, here, it softens up the Funyuns, so not only is the crunch missing from this sandwich, but you get an unappetizing mushy texture with every bite. If it wasn't for the guac, this sandwich would be a solid option.
4. Touch Grass
Unless you're a vegetarian, all too often the veggie-only options on restaurant menus are completely avoided. Most people arguably crave some kind of protein on their sandwiches, so why on Earth would they order something that had no meat in sight? Unless it's undeniably delicious. FaZe Subs offers those seeking a meatless experience a sandwich called Touch Grass. Obviously, you're not going to order this if the carnivore in you needs awakening, but you'll be pleasantly surprised to know that even though this sandwich lacks meat, the ingredients it does have come together to perform quite a flavorful symphony.
The Touch Grass has guacamole, shredded lettuce, sliced red onions, bread and butter pickles, tomato sauce, and Doritos Nacho Cheese chips. The guacamole tastes super fresh and it lends a creamy bite that works really well with the crunch of the chips. Thanks to the other ingredients layered on this sandwich, the chips do a great job of keeping their crunchiness without turning soggy and gross. Plus, both the tomato sauce and bread and butter pickles lend a sweetness to every bite, which makes this sandwich a worthwhile option if you're looking to stick to nothing but veggies for a meal.
3. #Overkill
The name of this sandwich is rather extreme, but it certainly lives up to it. If you're the kind of person who loves a fully loaded sandwich with heck of a lot of protein paired with a slew of other ingredients, then the #Overkill at FaZe Subs is definitely for you. The sandwich comes stuffed with smoked ham, smoked turkey, bacon, provolone cheese, shredded lettuce, sliced red onion, bread and butter pickles, pepperoncini, the signature FaZe sauce, and Ruffles chips. To say this sandwich is a mouthful would be a huge understatement.
This is the kind of thing you order when you want to test the limits of your stomach. There are a lot of different flavors and textures going on here, but overall, everything plays its role and nothing seems out of sorts. All the meats give you a massive hit of protein for energy, and the richness of the meat and cheese is balanced nicely by the vinegar from the pickles and pepperoncini. The Ruffles chips lend that great crunch, and even though they can feel a little greasy, it's not so off-putting you don't want to finish the sandwich.
2. Hot Drop
If rapper Snoop Dogg has taught us anything, it's that from time to time you need to let go of inhibitions and simply drop it like it's hot. Well, if you're trying to embrace your inner Snoop while perusing the menu at FaZe Subs, there's only one sandwich that'll do — the Hot Drop. This beast of a bread vessel comes with grilled chicken, provolone cheese, shredded lettuce, sliced red onion, bread and butter pickles, buffalo sauce, and crunchy Flamin' Hot Cheetos all piled on to a white roll.
The combination of the buffalo sauce and spicy Cheetos make for a lovely kick of heat that's both creamy from the sauce and wonderfully crunchy from the chips. The bread and butter pickles help cut through the heat and add a sweetness to the rest of the ingredients, and it's a great combination on the palate. One could argue the chicken could be juicier, but overall, if you're looking for something with heat, you won't feel disappointed.
1. #Ezaf
You just sat down ready to join your online "Halo" team and conquer everything and everyone in your path. Your console is running smoothly, your teammates are stoked, but there's one problem: You need to eat something before your appetite gets in the way of your focus. Step one: Load the FaZe Subs menu on DoorDash. Step 2: Order the sandwich called #Ezaf. You want the best thing FaZe Subs offers, of course, and this is easily the gold medal winner.
So, what exactly makes this a must-get? This sandwich comes loaded with smoked ham, cheddar cheese, shredded lettuce, sliced red onion, bread and butter pickles, honey mustard, and Fritos Original Corn Chips. While this sandwich may not have as many different flavor profiles as some of the others, the flavors here work better together. The ham is delicate and slightly salty, and that saltiness is offset by the sweetness of the pickles. The honey mustard is wonderfully creamy and tangy, and it gives the whole sandwich the perfect amount of moisture. But it's the Fritos that reign supreme. The crunchy corn chips add the perfect texture to this sweet and salty sandwich, and the only thing you'll regret when you finish it is that you didn't order a second one for later.
