Rebecca "Rebs" Lightbody is a 23-year-old contestant on the upcoming 13th season of “The Great British Bake Off.” A diligent student from County Antrim, Northern Ireland with a love for baking, Rebs launched her baking Instagram account @rebsbakes in January 2021; her first post showcased a rich chocolate cake she made for the new year.

Baking is a source of comfort for Lightbody; she began helping her mother in the kitchen at three years old, and baking relieves stress from her job in technology. The first episode of "GBBO" Season 13 has been postponed due to Queen Elizabeth II’s passing, but Lightbody has already gained significant support for her journey on the show.

Lightbody plans to incorporate her Turkish boyfriend’s favorite flavors into her baking while he cheers her on from back home, and 2018's "GBBO" winner, Rahul Mandal, has commented that he’s a fan of Lightbody’s TikTok content. Rebs' alma mater, Ballymena Academy, also tweeted, “We wish you well Rebecca and will be supporting you all the way!”
