Adam Richman starred in the hit Travel Channel show “Man v. Food” for four years, competing in seemingly-impossible food challenges across the country. However, in 2012, he suddenly announced his exit from the show, which left fans bewildered.
Richman said that he simply stopped enjoying the competitions, especially those involving eating spicy food and starchy foods like bread, potatoes, and fried foods. The challenges also ruined his appetite for some formerly favorite foods, like oysters.
Richman then decided to move on to produce and host a new show called “Man Finds Food,” but it wasn’t without controversy. In 2014, his Instagram weight loss post caused quite a stir with his fans, leading to an outburst that caused the network to delay the show’s premiere until 2015.
