The Pioneer Woman Pasta Dish So Easy You'll Barely Have To Move
By MARGARET MCCORMICK
Ree Drummond, a.k.a. The Pioneer Woman, is known for recipes that don't require a lot of fuss and get meals on the table in a snap. In September 2022, she created her own version of the viral baked feta pasta recipe (which currently has nearly 270 million views on Tiktok) with a few substitutions and additions of her own, and apparently, it’s extremely easy to recreate.
Food Network shared a step-by-step recipe video of Drummond's version of the dish — which she calls "baked goat cheese pasta" — on Twitter. In the video, Drummond starts by crowding some whole cherry tomatoes into a baking dish, glazes them with olive oil, and adds the same aromatics, herbs, and spices used by TikTokers who have tried the viral recipe.
However, Drummond’s version substitutes goat cheese for feta — which is baked with tomatoes until hot and melted — and includes a few dollops of pesto. "This is so easy to make, can you believe that?” Drummond says to her camera crew after happily sampling the pasta. "The hardest thing was just walking over to the oven twice,” she adds with a chuckle.
