Tanya Bastianich Manuali: The Truth About Lidia Bastianich's Daughter

With her mother and brother being celebrity chefs, Tanya Bastianich Manuali, too, carries on her family’s food legacy as a food writer, as well as a producer and star in some of her mother’s cooking shows. But what exactly does Lidia Bastianich’s daughter’s day-to-day life look like?
Tanya co-owns two of her mother’s restaurants — Lidia's Pittsburgh and Lidia's Kansas City — and assists with operations and projects in Bastianich’s New York City restaurant, Felidia. Tanya is also involved in her mother’s business venture, Eataly — of which Bastianich is a partner.
Besides working with Bastianich, Tanya leads her own projects — ​​she started a travel agency called Esperienze Italiane in 1996 to offer food and art tours throughout Italy. Additionally, she's an advocate for healthy eating and co-authored a cookbook on the topic with her brother Joe Bastianich.
Not only is Tanya involved in Italian cuisine, she has a formal education in Renaissance Italian culture and history, too, including a Ph.D. in Renaissance art history from Oxford University. Tanya — who taught art history to students in Italy for six years — became an Italian citizen on April 29, 2022.
Tanya and her husband Corrado, whom she met in 1989, have two children — a son Lorenzo, who is a food contributor at Galavante, and a daughter Lidia, who is studying at Georgetown University. Family is everything to Tanya and she often shares photos of family vacations on her social media.
Despite co-owning restaurants, Tanya still enjoys eating out in her hometown of Queens, New York. Tanya loves Queens for being a “melting pot” and explores the borough's neighborhoods to find different types of cuisines, frequently posting her best and new finds on her Instagram account.
