With autumn approaching, home cooks and food retailers alike have begun preparing for pumpkin-themed recipes galore. This includes McDonald’s and their popular Pumpkin and Creme Pie: a flaky, shortbread-like crust with a layer of spiced pumpkin filling, plus a rich cream cheese-based vanilla creme.

If the past years are any indication, this easy-to-eat pocket pie could return to McDonald's quite soon. In 2020, the pie re-debuted in stores in early October, and in 2021, the dessert returned in September; however, the pumpkin treat is not available at all locations, regardless of when it comes back.

While waiting for this seasonal treat, you can also get a head start on enjoying fall staples with other McDonald’s items. The fast food chain’s apple fritters and cinnamon rolls became popular additions to the McCafe Bakery menu in 2020, and can satisfy your cravings until the Pumpkin and Creme Pie returns.
