Cat Cora’s Tribute To The Queen Is A Tearshedder
By AMBERLY MCKEE
On September 8th, Queen Elizabeth II died at 96 years old, marking the end of a reign that spanned seven decades. Many public figures rushed to pay tribute, including Elton John, President Joe Biden, and celebrity chef Cat Cora, who perhaps feels solidarity with Elizabeth as a fellow strong woman.
Cora has not only opened over 18 restaurants throughout her career; she's also the first female winner of Food Network's "Iron Chef." The celeb chef tweeted two photos of the queen, writing, “Today the world says goodbye to Her Majesty, #QueenElizabeth II. Her brilliance as a leader in the U.K. and the world was truly inspiring.”
Cora finished the touching post with, “My heart is with all the members of the Royal family today. Rest in peace Your Majesty, God Save The Queen.” The chef's fans and followers commented to show their support as well, with one user writing, "May she rest in peace. My condolences to her family and friends."
