A New McDonald's Big Mac Might Be Coming
By SARAH MARTINEZ

McDonald's has several signature menu items, but none are more iconic than the Big Mac. The fast food chain hasn't released many variations of the classic Mac in the U.S., taking the "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" approach, but McDonald's may be ready to change the status quo with a new upcoming menu item: the Chicken Mac.

The Chicken Mac is simply a Big Mac that uses tempura-breaded chicken patties in place of the traditional beef burgers. The other classic Big Mac ingredients — Big Mac sauce, pickles, shredded lettuce, chopped white onions, American cheese, and two sesame seed buns — will remain unchanged in the new offering.

The Chicken Mac has been sold in the U.K. and Australia, and according to The Street, the sandwich produced such an "incredible demand" that it was removed from the U.K. menu in February of 2022. McDonald's will reportedly test the Chicken Mac in Miami for a limited time, and if it does well, this item could be sold nationwide.
