Soft Sugar Cookies Recipe

Ingredients
  • 2 ¾ cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 2 sticks unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
Directions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350 F and spray 3 large baking sheets with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. In a large bowl, add the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt, and whisk to combine.
  3. In the bowl of stand mixer, add the butter, sugar, and brown sugar, then use the paddle attachment to mix until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the egg and vanilla extract and mix until combined.
  5. Pour the dry ingredients into stand mixer bowl and mix until combined.
  6. Roll the dough into balls using about 1 to 2 tablespoons of dough for each and place on the baking sheets spaced apart evenly.
  7. Bake for 10 minutes.
  8. Let cool and enjoy!
