Ingredients
1 stick unsalted butter, melted
1 cup flour
1 cup cornmeal
1/4 cup sugar
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cups whole milk
2 eggs
Directions
Preheat oven to 375 F.
Melt the butter, and grease a 9-inch cast iron skillet.
In a large bowl, use a whisk to combine the flour, cornmeal, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
Add the whole milk, eggs, and melted butter. Whisk well to combine.
Pour the batter into a cast iron skillet.
Bake the cornbread for 25 to 30 minutes, until set and golden.
